Considerations for Dental Treatment of Patients with Pemphigus Disease: a Case Report

Abstract

|
|
To treat pemphigus patients who suffer from autoimmune blistering disease, clinicians should apply special consideration to them. Since oral cavity is composed of mucosa membrane, dental treatment could irritate these patients’ mucosal surface and intensify the disease. In this case, 41-year old female with general pemphigus vulgaris got #25 fixed prosthodontics treatments. This case report suggests some dental treatment considerations for mucocutaneous vesiculobullous disease.
